CERAGEM THERAPY

By Muskan Mehndiratta

A therapy or medical treatment is the attempted remediation of the health problem, usually following a diagnosis. As a rule each therapy has indications and contraindications. There are many different types of therapy. Not all therapies are effective. The one which I’m going to discuss is CERAGEM therapy.

What is Ceragem therapy?

Ceragem therapy is a fully natural therapy that scans the back of the spine and the machine provides thermal acupressure to the spine.

People use Ceragem Therapy to increase blood pressure, purifying the blood, boost immunity, relieve stress and aligning spinal cord. Ceragem therapy relieves arthritis pains, relaxes muscles and increases energy with proper blood circulation.

Three things that matter in life ‐ your health, your missions, and the people you love.

Anonymous

Ceragem is safe. However, in every treatment chances of side effects exist. In case of ceragem chances of side effect are extremely low if used properly, it shouldn’t be used regularly. Side effects may occur due to infared light which may cause damage to the skin.

On the other hand it’s too costly. So, instead of purchasing it you can go to centers where Ceragem Therapy is given.

I used to visit to Ceragem health care twice a week which is located in vijay nagar, Ambala city.

Products and services offered at Ceragem Healthcare:

Aman Ceragem health care in Ambala city showcases a vast product range including wheel chairs, digital meters, surgical instruments, blood pressure monitors, glucose meter, water and air bed, nebulizer, adult diapers, under pad, orthopaedic supports like sacro lumbar belt, abdominal belt, knee support, ankle binder and waist belt, digital thermometres, hot water bag, morning walker, pill boxes, yoga mats, gel pack, arm sleeves etc. The dealer’s office is operational from Monday to Saturday.

It has beneficial results in a variety of illnesses is its ability to remove toxins, which happen to be the core of many health problems. For instance, when toxic gases such as carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide or toxic substances like lead or mercury meet large water molecules, they are encapsulated by clusters of water in a body.

Ceragem is basically a bed that has a heated element and rollers that follow a specific track along the sides of your spine. You have to sit there for a 30 minuted discussion on the miraculous benefits of the bed including cancer cures, hemorrhoids and more before using them for free.

Benefits:

1) It can help calm muscle torment.
2) It can help advance body pose.
3) It can diminish muscle firmness and facilitates hurts related with joint pain.
4) It can help advance body course.
5) It can advance unwinding and diminish pressure.

Heart says, ‘No exam.’

By Muskan Mehndiratta

How very little can be done under the spirit of fear. It’s quite obvious to any student to get stressed or anxious when he/she is going to appear for a board exam, be it of CBSE, UP board or any other state board.

In fact the class 10th students, for whom the board exam comes as the first major challenge in life, are more afraid of taking the big exam. But, dear students, there’s nothing so extraordinary about the board exam as it is similar to any other regular exam that you have appeared in earlier.

You will be given a blend of easy and complex questions to answer, the same as in other exams. The only difference is that, this time these questions will not be prepared by your school teachers and the answers will be checked by the external examiners selected by the board.

You feel stressed and anxious about the board exams. Actually, the whole game is played by your brain which tries to exaggerate the things in tough situations. All you need is to control your brain and keep it healthy and calm.

Here are few tips on how you can train your brain to stay fearless and work properly during the exam days:

  1. Eat good and frequent meals.
  2. Sleep well and at fixed times.
  3. Exercise your brain for peace.
  4. Make an orgainsed study schedule.
  5. Reward yourself with positive thoughts.
  6. Take small, frequent study breaks.

Studying for long hours can make your mind and body stressed and fatigued which ultimately infuses fearful thoughts into your brain. Your brain will not be able to grasp any more information and this will add to your exam phobia. So, break out your study schedule to break the monotony and do some mind refreshing and recreational activities like singing, dancing, watching your favourite Tv series, chatting with your friends, playing games, having snacks, etc. this way your mind will get refreshed and recharged, and becomes ready to absorb in more stuff.

So, guys, don’t consider the board exams as a burden or anything to disturb your life in a negative way. Take the challenge bravely and let your result reflect your hard work.

CAN MULTIPLEXES IN TRICITY BE OPEN 24 HOURS?

By Saakshi Sharma

If you are an avid news reader, you surely would know about the Maharashtra’s government decision to keep Mumbai city open 24*7. The shopping malls, multiplexes, bars; in short Mumbai is set to experience the life that’ll never stop.

“If we have to make Mumbai an international city, then we need to give them more facilities,” said tourism and environment minister Aaditya Thackeray to The Economic Times, who’d floated the idea some years ago. “Putting Mumbai under a curfew is not good. We have tourists, we have people who work late in the night and we are trying to give them more facilities.”

The decision is a welcome move and will boost the state’s economy. Also it is great for late night commuters, night-shift workers and those who like to wander at odd hours.

The proposal cleared by the cabinet on January 22 states that the first phase of this project will come into effect from January 27, 2020, with no relaxation in excise rules.

Clearing the proposal is one thing but how feasible this is, is another.

We talked to the multiplex owners of the Tricity to know their opinion on this initiative and what they feel about the proposal, following feedbacks were received.

According to Pankaj, duty manager at PVR, Cosmo Plaza (Zirakpur), keeping multiplexes open 24 hours is not really a great idea. The profit depends entirely on the movie and we do not get blockbusters every week. Movies like Baahubali can still be preferred for the 24 hour proposal but not movies that hardly flourish for two weeks. Also it might affect the business as more staff will be required.

It might be a really good option for a city like Mumbai or maybe Delhi too, but when it comes to smaller cities like Mohali and Panchkula, it is not so feasible. The requirement of more staff, late night transportation can still be managed but the bigger question will be about profits.

There’s no point in implementing a scheme that would bring more loss than profit.

CITY BEAUTIFUL LOSING THE TITLE

By Saakshi Sharma

Chandigarh is losing its ‘City Beautiful’ status because of the decreasing green cover in the area. It has been noticed that hundreds of full-grown trees growing along various roads of Chandigarh and the parking areas are dying or have started to wither due to the reason that the area underneath these trees have either tar or are paved with interlocking bricks.

Dr.Harjit Singh Dhillon, horticulturist and ex executive engineer (horticulture), Chandigarh Administration, said, “Trees are dying. Our responsibility does not end by simply planting a sapling, but we need to care for it. Chandigarh is a beautiful city, the negligence towards trees while construction of buildings and roads needs to stop.

A single tree provides cooling of 10 air conditioners. It not only provides oxygen and shade but is also home to birds and many living organisms. A tree is a future investment for the coming generations, he said.

THE PROBLEM:

The condition of trees is miserable these days. He mentioned that there is a special team of 10-15 doctors in China that are specifically recruited in divided areas where they care for the green cover belt.

@timesofindia

The construction of multi-level basement parking in malls has declined the water level. Now the roots of trees are unable to get water for photosynthesis and are slowly withering away.

  • It has been noticed that hundreds of full grown trees growing along various roads of Chandigarh and the parking areas are dying or have been start wilting due to the reasons that the area underneath these trees have either tarcol or paved with interlocking bricks.
  • With the results the rain water as well as the portable water by tankers is not liable to approach to their feeding roots.
  • The second reason of declining of these trees is the aeration of the feeding roots block its respiration and ultimately the plant roots died and so as the trees.
  • The third reason is the subsoil water is going down beyond the reach of trees tap root due to continuous de-watering of multi level basements of malls and sky touching buildings.

Having contributed more than 40 years to plant trees in the area, Dr.Harjit Singh says he is deeply pained after seeing present status of trees due to human negligence.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?

Dr.Harjit Singh feels that the government should take the initiative to save trees, that would in turn save the ‘City Beautiful’ title. There must be strict laws and guidelines dealing with architectural planning and landscaping of the city that prevent cutting of trees. There is a need for a separate Horticulture department in Municipal Corporation that has experts from horticulture background.

A survey of dry trees of tricity maybe conducted to replace dead trees with new saplings of 6-7 ft height. The sapling is to be protected with strong tree guards with a basin dug with help of JCB of minimum six feet diameter. It needs to be done to avoid the ugly look and to overcome the lost green cover. The health department should be given punishable instructions not to allow burning of dried leaves under these trees. The administration of tricity should ensure that no tree in future should die due to the said reasons.

  • The only solution to save these trees to make at least six feet basins with their level below the surrounding concrete / pavers so that the rain water or tanker water rush to their stem for their survival.
  • No raged pakka platform should be made around the tree trunks. The health department should be given punishable instructions not to allow burning of dried leaves under these trees.

The undue cutting of green trees for construction work, widening roads in the name of flyovers maybe given due consultation and multiple thoughts before loss of green avenue for which Tricity is famous.

THE CYCLE STANDS IN PANCHKULA

By Samyukta Narayanan

For a pollution-free city, government has launched the app ‘Yaana,’ so that people remain fit and healthy because nowadays everyone is using cars and bikes to go here and there. Everyone has become lazy, even for walking distance people use their vehicle.

This service was launched in 2019.

There are over 20 bicycle stands in Panchkula, everything is done online from payment to unlocking the cycle and it only costs 5 rupees for 30 mins. It’s very cheap and helpful for the city. One can rent a bicycle at one stand and park it any nearby designated stand.

This service aims at curbing pollution while promoting the non-motorised traffic corridor. Also it inspires fitness which is win situation for it. The service also offers various membership options.

I visited there to check if the cycles were in working condition and if people are using this facility. I waited for like an hour and saw only one person using it and then proceeded to use it myself.

It was really a nice experience. The cycles were in good condition.

Every month the cycles are sent for service for better use and people do not face any problems with them. This app is more helpful for the kids who do not have cycles but want to use them. They can just visit there and by the app, they can fulfill their desires.

I asked some resident of Panchkula their opinion and experience with this app:

According to Mr Hardik, this is really a good initiative that the government has started this app to reduce the pollution. He himself has used this app and had a great experience. He also said that it is a disadvantage for the illiterate people and the people who doesn’t have mobile phones as they can’t use this app. Overall he liked this app very much and wanted that other cities should also start this kind off service to reduce pollution.

According to Mr Sumeet Chawla, he really appreciates the government for launching this service and the municipal corporation because they knew that people wanted to use cycles and wanted this option in their daily life where they can use cycle in their free time. He said that in winters very few people use the cycles but in summers you won’t find cycles on the stand because everyone uses them, he is really thankful for introducing this app.

To conclude this I wanted to say that this is very helpful for the city but some changes might improve this service because it has not reached as many people as it initially expected too. The government should aware the public by making ads, hoardings etc. which will increase the users for the app. The government should also start this kind of services in other states too to curb pollution.

Festival and Food Adulteration

By Simran Kaur

Festival of colors, Holi is on the way and this is the festival which is celebrated with such joy not only in India but worlwide. Indians are crazy about festivals and especially food. No festival is complete without a signature cuisine.

Gujiya, a cuisine of North India, which is up of suji or maida and stuffed with khoya along with dry fruits is a must have for Holi. This delicacy has gained popularity since the beginning of time.

Food Adulteration is a problem which has been faced by many people in the country. Many people face a lot of health problems because of the food they consume. Milk and dairy products are a huge part of the balanced diet. Milk is necessary for infants and adults too. Dairy products are one of the best sources of protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamin and minerals.

Unfortunately, milk is easily adulterated in the world. History of milk adulteration is not new.

Possible reasons behind it may include:

  • demand and supply gap,
  • perishable nature of milk,
  • low purchasing capability of customer
  • and lack of suitable adulteration detection tests.

The situation is significantly worse in developing and underdeveloped countries due to the absence of adequate monitoring of products and lack of proper law enforcement.

Now Adulteration generally means ‘ मिलावट करना ‘ and it can be dangerous because of the toxicity and can affect health. It could deprive the consumer of nutrients essential for proper growth and development. It is the mixture of inferior substances or the removal of some valuable ingredients.

Paneer and khoya are adulterated with starch, which is used to give thick, rich texture to the sweets. Importantly, synthetic artificial colors and flavors are also used in drinks like Thandai and bhang. When demand of such products increases adulteration in these products also increases.

According to Bhaskar news network, In factories of Bhind (Malanpur), milk was prepared by using toilet cleaner, and those involved in this, were arrested by the local police. It was the fourth FIR which was filed by the residents there.

How can we as consumers ensure the quality of milk and milk products?

To check the purity of milk at home, qualitative detection of adulterants in milk can be easily performed with chemical reactions while quantitative detections are complex and diverse.

@TheFinancialExpress
  • Some of the major adulterants are urea, formalin, detergents, ammonium sulphate, boric acid, caustic soda, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, hydrogen peroxide, sugars and melamine.
  • To check, whether milk is adulterated with water place a drop of milk on a slanting surface, if the milk flows freely it has high water content, purer milk will flow slowly.
  • Melamine can be detected at room temperature within a few seconds through the change in color.
  • We can check urea in milk by adding half teaspoon of soyabean and arhar powder. Mix up the contents and after 5 minutes dip a red litmus paper in it. The color of litmus paper changes from red to blue, which basically indicates the presence of urea in milk.

FREE BUS RIDES: A WELCOME MOVE

By Simran Kaur

Now that women no longer have to think about the costs of travel, it will open up doors to many avenues to them. No girl will be forced to drop out of school or college. The Aam Aadmi Party’s scheme under which women have access to free bus travel in Delhi is a welcome move for women empowerment.

The women of Delhi will become empowered to fulfill their dreams. This is not to suggest that the move will solve every problem, but I am sure it will be a very important step towards empowering women.

The savings made by women on travel will also help sustain households and give them legroom for other expenditures, especially in times of economic slowdown. Some may choose to spend it on increasing the quarter of milk they feed their children, others on purchasing books for them. Increased purchasing power has the potential to take the entire society along on a path to prosperity.

The thousands of crores of rupees our citizens collectively save every year because services like education, healthcare, water are free, is essentially money that flows back into the economy. It has created immense economic value for the city.

Improving women’s access to public transport will also make them feel safer. Mass transit around the world gives a sense of security to women, because of the sheer number of women travelling together.

When my cousin was a student at IIT Delhi, she would take the Yellow Line Metro to college. Even after she started working, we have always preferred her taking the Metro over a cab. I’m confident most parents of daughters feel the same.

Along with the free bus scheme, government has also deployed 13,000 bus marshals for all shifts. Delhi’s free buses are also the safest travel option for women now.

AAP’s historic win in Delhi made it to front pages of newspaper across India. Aam Aadmi Party, or common man’s party, whose pro-poor policies focused on fixing state-run schools and providing cheap electricity, free health care and bus transport for women during its five years in power, rolled out in their favour.

Is Public transportation convenient for women?

By Yati Hankar

Tricity encounters concerning sexual abuse cases:

Recent rape cases in Chandigarh have raised the question of women safety yet again.
Where lonely roads are a common sight in the city, it stretches out the risk of crimes happening to women in public convenience which they rely on, as a daily medium to reach their destination.

On 9th of february, a working nurse was raped by an auto driver and his aide who are yet unindentified are being searched by the police. The incident took place around 7 pm when the victim was coming back from her client’s place and was heading home. She took an auto for her way back where the accused and his aide took her to a secluded place and allegedly raped her. When she got the chance to raise an alarm for help the two accused fled, unfortunately this is one of the many traumatizing incidents where women travelling alone are taken advantage of.

Another incident took place on November of last year where an 11 year old girl was kidnapped and raped by an auto driver after she was abandoned by her aunt on Chandigarh railway station. Given the situation, when the minor took an auto on her way, the driver after learning the minor’s condition took her to his rented place, held her captive for days and raped her, later the accused was arrested and a case under POSCO Act was registered.

Looking into just past 3 years there are many cases that took place in the UT opening a void for the need of safety measures for women, being ensured in public transportation of their well being.

On the other hand we had a conversation with Gagan, an auto driver who believes that because of one every auto driver finds himself being questioned of morality. He says, “I feel like there are so many crimes happening with the involvement of auto drivers and because of some of them many lady passengers need the assurance that they are secure with us. Driving auto is my work and I get paid for it to support my family and like it is to any merchant, passenger for me is a god themselves.”

We need many like Gagan in our society who understands what the concept of morality is for a human being.

These were the incidents that came into light. However, thousands of cases are not even reported in the country. According to latest reports, India ranks on 131 out of 152 nations in terms of women safety.

How long do women need to constantly look over their shoulders and be worried about reaching home safely? We are growing in terms of technology, convenience, connectivity and what not. Why can’t the same be with morality? No, women are not asking men to treat them like some goddess or put them up on a pedestal, all they want is the freedom to move around freely.

ONCE UPON A TERRIFIC TRAFFIC

By Samyukta Narayanan

If you live at or around VIP road, Zirakpur, you would have surely noted the difference in the vehicle movement on road. Where once upon a time, you’d avoid going at peak hours, now seems an easier route.

Traffic was one of the major problem and had made the lives of people really difficult. Obviously, it resulted in non-productive activities and not to forget would cost a good peace of mind. It used to increase stress and frustration among motorists and passengers.

The drivers were unwilling to obey the traffic rules. Overtaking tendency also caused a lot of traffic jam. 24 hours traffic used to remain at the Dominos intersection. Never used to move, everyone would just wait for the jam to clear.

This was happening because no one followed the traffic rules. Everyone was engaged in overtaking each other, even over speeding and vehicles used to come from everywhere. Everybody would just horn at each other and there is no traffic signal which can mediate the traffic.

There was no place to walk, anyone would park their vehicle in a haywire manner and it was becoming more problematic.

Now this situation has been under control because if anyone parks their vehicle on road, the police will tow the car and whosoever has parked has to pay the fine. A didvider is built to seperate the left and right moving vehicles.

Traffic has reduced, the road remains moving. Police officials are present at peak hours to manage any crisis.

On asking people what they feel about the new management, following feedbacks were recieved:

According to Seema Agarwal, she said that it is now convenient because the traffic has gone away. Commuters have started following rules and also are afraid that they will have to pay fine and that has rather forced them to stay safe.

According to Udayjeet Singh, under age driving is still happening. Without license, people are driving scooty, so police should also fix this problem by taking fines from them. It is not only necessary to reduce traffic, it is also necessary to follow Proper Rules and Regulations. Vehicles are using the dedicated lanes.
