COVID-19 Quarantine period has kept the people away, not only from the people they admire but also from their jobs, livelihood, hometown, home, family, love, but the virus had transmitted day by day through out the country like a monsoon strom travel and come forth all together and distorts the city. The SHAMIK TRAIN had got a hope on them, the one who are away from their loved ones.
This whole two months they had suffered going back to their respective hometowns. Their sufferings had answered them, these trains had ranned on the tracks from last month for the migrant peasants to travel back home. When the lockdown was imposed by the PM, these people had no where to go, no jobs to earn money, no food to eat, not even a shelter to sleep. The states borders were sealed and no one was allowed to travel inter state.
When the SHAMIK TRAIN was on the move half of the battle was won and half was with the deadly virus which had infected more than a million people worldwide. Total 642 trains had made it to nearly 8 lakh people to their homes. 100 trains run everyday, carrying 54 people in each in 24 coaches having 72 seats to maintain social distancing. Guidelines of the train is online and the ticket fare is 90% discounted, services has been shared on a 85:15 ratio with states.
While the railways has not yet announced the cost incurred on the special services, the officials indicate that the national transporter has spent around ₹80 lakh per service.
A therapy or medical treatment is the attempted remediation of the health problem, usually following a diagnosis. As a rule each therapy has indications and contraindications. There are many different types of therapy. Not all therapies are effective. The one which I’m going to discuss is CERAGEM therapy.

Ceragem is safe. However, in every treatment chances of side effects exist. In case of ceragem chances of side effect are extremely low if used properly, it shouldn’t be used regularly. Side effects may occur due to infared light which may cause damage to the skin.

How very little can be done under the spirit of fear. It’s quite obvious to any student to get stressed or anxious when he/she is going to appear for a board exam, be it of CBSE, UP board or any other state board.
In fact the class 10th students, for whom the board exam comes as the first major challenge in life, are more afraid of taking the big exam. But, dear students, there’s nothing so extraordinary about the board exam as it is similar to any other regular exam that you have appeared in earlier.
You will be given a blend of easy and complex questions to answer, the same as in other exams. The only difference is that, this time these questions will not be prepared by your school teachers and the answers will be checked by the external examiners selected by the board.
You feel stressed and anxious about the board exams. Actually, the whole game is played by your brain which tries to exaggerate the things in tough situations. All you need is to control your brain and keep it healthy and calm.
Here are few tips on how you can train your brain to stay fearless and work properly during the exam days:
Eat good and frequent meals.
Sleep well and at fixed times.
Exercise your brain for peace.
Make an orgainsed study schedule.
Reward yourself with positive thoughts.
Take small, frequent study breaks.
Studying for long hours can make your mind and body stressed and fatigued which ultimately infuses fearful thoughts into your brain. Your brain will not be able to grasp any more information and this will add to your exam phobia. So, break out your study schedule to break the monotony and do some mind refreshing and recreational activities like singing, dancing, watching your favourite Tv series, chatting with your friends, playing games, having snacks, etc. this way your mind will get refreshed and recharged, and becomes ready to absorb in more stuff.
So, guys, don’t consider the board exams as a burden or anything to disturb your life in a negative way. Take the challenge bravely and let your result reflect your hard work.
If you are an avid news reader, you surely would know about the Maharashtra’s government decision to keep Mumbai city open 24*7. The shopping malls, multiplexes, bars; in short Mumbai is set to experience the life that’ll never stop.
“If we have to make Mumbai an international city, then we need to give them more facilities,” said tourism and environment minister Aaditya Thackeray to The Economic Times, who’d floated the idea some years ago. “Putting Mumbai under a curfew is not good. We have tourists, we have people who work late in the night and we are trying to give them more facilities.”
The decision is a welcome move and will boost the state’s economy. Also it is great for late night commuters, night-shift workers and those who like to wander at odd hours.
The proposal cleared by the cabinet on January 22 states that the first phase of this project will come into effect from January 27, 2020, with no relaxation in excise rules.
Clearing the proposal is one thing but how feasible this is, is another.
We talked to the multiplex owners of the Tricity to know their opinion on this initiative and what they feel about the proposal, following feedbacks were received.
According to Pankaj, duty manager at PVR, Cosmo Plaza (Zirakpur), keeping multiplexes open 24 hours is not really a great idea. The profit depends entirely on the movie and we do not get blockbusters every week. Movies like Baahubali can still be preferred for the 24 hour proposal but not movies that hardly flourish for two weeks. Also it might affect the business as more staff will be required.
It might be a really good option for a city like Mumbai or maybe Delhi too, but when it comes to smaller cities like Mohali and Panchkula, it is not so feasible. The requirement of more staff, late night transportation can still be managed but the bigger question will be about profits.
There’s no point in implementing a scheme that would bring more loss than profit.
For a pollution-free city, government has launched the app ‘Yaana,’ so that people remain fit and healthy because nowadays everyone is using cars and bikes to go here and there. Everyone has become lazy, even for walking distance people use their vehicle.
This service was launched in 2019.
There are over 20 bicycle stands in Panchkula, everything is done online from payment to unlocking the cycle and it only costs 5 rupees for 30 mins. It’s very cheap and helpful for the city. One can rent a bicycle at one stand and park it any nearby designated stand.
This service aims at curbing pollution while promoting the non-motorised traffic corridor. Also it inspires fitness which is win situation for it. The service also offers various membership options.
I visited there to check if the cycles were in working condition and if people are using this facility. I waited for like an hour and saw only one person using it and then proceeded to use it myself.
It was really a nice experience. The cycles were in good condition.
Every month the cycles are sent for service for better use and people do not face any problems with them. This app is more helpful for the kids who do not have cycles but want to use them. They can just visit there and by the app, they can fulfill their desires.
I asked some resident of Panchkula their opinion and experience with this app:
According to Mr Hardik, this is really a good initiative that the government has started this app to reduce the pollution. He himself has used this app and had a great experience. He also said that it is a disadvantage for the illiterate people and the people who doesn’t have mobile phones as they can’t use this app. Overall he liked this app very much and wanted that other cities should also start this kind off service to reduce pollution.
According to Mr Sumeet Chawla, he really appreciates the government for launching this service and the municipal corporation because they knew that people wanted to use cycles and wanted this option in their daily life where they can use cycle in their free time. He said that in winters very few people use the cycles but in summers you won’t find cycles on the stand because everyone uses them, he is really thankful for introducing this app.
To conclude this I wanted to say that this is very helpful for the city but some changes might improve this service because it has not reached as many people as it initially expected too. The government should aware the public by making ads, hoardings etc. which will increase the users for the app. The government should also start this kind of services in other states too to curb pollution.
Festival of colors, Holi is on the way and this is the festival which is celebrated with such joy not only in India but worlwide. Indians are crazy about festivals and especially food. No festival is complete without a signature cuisine.
Gujiya, a cuisine of North India, which is up of suji or maida and stuffed with khoya along with dry fruits is a must have for Holi. This delicacy has gained popularity since the beginning of time.
Food Adulteration is a problem which has been faced by many people in the country. Many people face a lot of health problems because of the food they consume. Milk and dairy products are a huge part of the balanced diet. Milk is necessary for infants and adults too. Dairy products are one of the best sources of protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamin and minerals.
Unfortunately, milk is easily adulterated in the world. History of milk adulteration is not new.
Possible reasons behind it may include:
demand and supply gap,
perishable nature of milk,
low purchasing capability of customer
and lack of suitable adulteration detection tests.
The situation is significantly worse in developing and underdeveloped countries due to the absence of adequate monitoring of products and lack of proper law enforcement.
Now Adulteration generally means ‘ मिलावट करना ‘ and it can be dangerous because of the toxicity and can affect health. It could deprive the consumer of nutrients essential for proper growth and development. It is the mixture of inferior substances or the removal of some valuable ingredients.
Paneer and khoya are adulterated with starch, which is used to give thick, rich texture to the sweets. Importantly, synthetic artificial colors and flavors are also used in drinks like Thandai and bhang. When demand of such products increases adulteration in these products also increases.
According to Bhaskar news network, In factories of Bhind (Malanpur), milk was prepared by using toilet cleaner, and those involved in this, were arrested by the local police. It was the fourth FIR which was filed by the residents there.
How can we as consumers ensure the quality of milk and milk products?
To check the purity of milk at home, qualitative detection of adulterants in milk can be easily performed with chemical reactions while quantitative detections are complex and diverse.
@TheFinancialExpress
Some of the major adulterants are urea, formalin, detergents, ammonium sulphate, boric acid, caustic soda, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, hydrogen peroxide, sugars and melamine.
To check, whether milk is adulterated with water place a drop of milk on a slanting surface, if the milk flows freely it has high water content, purer milk will flow slowly.
Melamine can be detected at room temperature within a few seconds through the change in color.
We can check urea in milk by adding half teaspoon of soyabean and arhar powder. Mix up the contents and after 5 minutes dip a red litmus paper in it. The color of litmus paper changes from red to blue, which basically indicates the presence of urea in milk.
If you live at or around VIP road, Zirakpur, you would have surely noted the difference in the vehicle movement on road. Where once upon a time, you’d avoid going at peak hours, now seems an easier route.
Traffic was one of the major problem and had made the lives of people really difficult. Obviously, it resulted in non-productive activities and not to forget would cost a good peace of mind. It used to increase stress and frustration among motorists and passengers.
The drivers were unwilling to obey the traffic rules. Overtaking tendency also caused a lot of traffic jam. 24 hours traffic used to remain at the Dominos intersection. Never used to move, everyone would just wait for the jam to clear.
This was happening because no one followed the traffic rules. Everyone was engaged in overtaking each other, even over speeding and vehicles used to come from everywhere. Everybody would just horn at each other and there is no traffic signal which can mediate the traffic.
There was no place to walk, anyone would park their vehicle in a haywire manner and it was becoming more problematic.
Now this situation has been under control because if anyone parks their vehicle on road, the police will tow the car and whosoever has parked has to pay the fine. A didvider is built to seperate the left and right moving vehicles.
Traffic has reduced, the road remains moving. Police officials are present at peak hours to manage any crisis.
On asking people what they feel about the new management, following feedbacks were recieved:
According to Seema Agarwal, she said that it is now convenient because the traffic has gone away. Commuters have started following rules and also are afraid that they will have to pay fine and that has rather forced them to stay safe.
According to Udayjeet Singh, under age driving is still happening. Without license, people are driving scooty, so police should also fix this problem by taking fines from them. It is not only necessary to reduce traffic, it is also necessary to follow Proper Rules and Regulations. Vehicles are using the dedicated lanes.
